It was a long and exhausting ride until we got this baby out. We originally started working on the follow up to "Running Out Of Lies" right after its release in 2003. But whereas everything went kinda dreamlike with the first one, businesswise things turned simply terrible. We ended up splitting up from both our record company and management and decided to take the whole production on hold for over two years. In late 2005 Seegi started going through the recordings again and decided to more or less re-record the whole album and mix it by himself. Unforturnately, no one seemed to be willing to release "Circus Of Life" - until my EDEN'S CURSE buddys Paul Logue and Mike Eden came in the picture and managed to get us signed with US label Metal Mayhem. Shortly after that, Seegi agreed in signing to new German company Artist Service for the European release (with the help of our brother Mike Langer!).
This album means a lot to me, not only containing two E1 leftovers ("Behind My Eyes" & "Closer To The Distance"), co-written by Robby Boebel, and the incredible talents of Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL, ex-ULI JON ROTH) playing keys on our version of the KENNY LOGGINS classic "Danger Zone", the once again fantastic artwork by Thomas Ewerhard, but also, honestly speaking some of my best performances - in my very own opinion.
Seegi did a fantastic job, producing the album. Lets hope for album No.3 not to take another five years to release.
